Julissa Garcia Profile

Born and raised in Odessa, Texas, she comes from a family with strong ties to her Mexican heritage (particularly Chihuahua, Mexico). She began dancing at the age of 2 and has pursued it passionately ever since. As a child, at just 6 years old, she attended a DCC camp, which sparked her determination to one day become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

Garcia was a standout dancer in her youth, training at places like SHOUT Cheerleading, Alpha Cheer & Dance, and Tammie Locklar’s Dance studio. She cheered as a Permian Panther Paw at Permian High School (Class of 2020, where she was salutatorian). She continued her dance career at Texas Tech University as a member of the Pom Squad.

In 2024, following the Netflix series America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Garcia earned her spot on the DCC roster as a rookie for the 2024-2025 season. She has described receiving her uniform and boots as one of the best days of her life. As of 2026, she is in her second season with the team, often sharing content about her experiences on social media.
